When there seems to be no hope;
when the storms of life roar;
Do not be terrified;
Listen, the voice of the Lord whispers;
"My child, I am your hope."
 
When friends reject you;
When family members forsake you;
And everybody abandons you;
Listen, the voice of the Lord whispers:
"Behold, I am with you always."
 
When troubles come; 
When trials and temptations assail;
When things seem unfavorable 
Listen, the voice of the Lord whispers:
"My child, I am your refuge and fortress."
 
When everybody hates you;
When enemies attack you from all angles;
And you need strength and courage;
Listen, the voice of the Lord whispers:
"My child, I love you."
 
In times of need and sorrow;
In times of trouble and crisis;
Do not be afraid of anything; Listen,
the voice of the Lord whispers:
"Nothing can pluck you out of My hands."
